It looks like Young Kim will hold the Royce seat and Mimi Walters will survive, I never thought Walters would lose. But extra rat votes came late so we haven’t held them yet.

I never thought Roskam would lose either. Unlike Hultgren, he didn't take his re-election campaign for granted, and he was one of the VERY few Republicans to win an open seat in 2006, when the RATs made Tammy Suckworth their "rising star" and threw everything they had at him.
Seems to me losing "B1" Bob Dornan in the 90s and then losing Rohrabacher this election cycle is pretty similar to the IL GOP pattern of losing Phil Crane in the early 2000s and then losing Roskam this election cycle. The RATs made surprise inroads in what was once staunch GOP turf, and then were able to take over completely by 2018.
I think if RorB loses it’s on him not on the district (which still went for Trump) and we get it back in 2020.

IF you could break down the vote far enough, I would bet that people with ELECTRIC cars & those who have NO cars at all voted for the continuance of that tax.
CA Sec of State shows him losing by some 800 votes with 100% in.
Is it Rohrbacher or Rohrabacher? I’ve always thought it is Rohrbacher.

As Larry Elder said, those in favor of keeping spent 10x those for the ammendment and the wording of the ammendment was very vague

Yes, the demographic ethnic voting is the story no one talks about, not just in CA but now in AZ,NV,FL,Co and now Texas
Hispanics are 40% of CA voters, African Americans about 12% and without those votes Dems wouldn’t win. US is headed the way of CA, we need to stop illegal immigration, call it “cutting the line” and appeal to Hispanic and African American voters-they are the base of the Dem party
