Don't know if accurate, but there were reports that Dave Brat did not receive much party support or funding either because he had upset Eric Cantor and this was payback. That would be GOPe payback, if accurate.

Dave Brat is a prime example of successful gerrymandering.

I used to be in Brat's district (7th VA) and voted for him when he beat the RINO king in waiting Eric “the purple” Can’t-nor. Through redistricting I am now in a different district (1st VA). So the Demoncats restricted my county via gerrymandering, one of the deepest red places you’d find anywhere, out of the (7th VA). I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO RE-ELECT BRAT.

The county I live in went Stewart 70/30 if that tells you anything.
