Trump had the authority to fire Sessions from day one. And didn’t. The excuse was always “Trump can’t fire him” because: obstruction of justice, McConnell says no, he doesn’t have the right, and a litany of other excuses.
So... why did he wait? And how come now? And why isn’t the usual crowd perplexed after insisting that Trump couldn’t remove Sessions?
Trump owns four new senators that’s why. McTurtle needs them so the President basicallly got a free hand after the election to clean out the DOJ.
And Senate Democrats lack the votes to stop him.
Until after the midterms and I think There are issues coming up where a weak Sessions would destroy the President. There were enemies in our own party that would have made a mess of things.
