This one never made much sense. She had nothing to gain.

I think Taylor was told by the powers that be "You like being Time's Person of the Year? You want all these awards? You still want to be in the club? You need to endorse a Democrat this year, otherwise when your Record Label ends, no more American publishers, no more stadium tours, nothing".

Taylor's endorsement sure didn't sound like her, if she really felt she had to do this I was expecting "but I love all of my fans and this doesn't change a thing".

But because everything, EVERYTHING is political. Conservatives bad. Can't associate with them in anyway. The Elites don't want Taylor making us people too.

This was the ultimate lose-lose for her. I pray this is the last time.

I agree. I think the pressure on her may have been from the “star community” too. I think that her career was hurt by it, probably getting mail that people are no longer fans after years etc, kids crying, etc, that she can use that as fodder to tell the pressuring folk to LAY OFF as she is never doing this again, can’t disappoint her fans by taking ANY sides. Tell the audiences to “go vote” and leave it the bleep at that.
