Ortiz Jones has not called for a recount, but says she wants to see all provisional, absentee and military votes counted.
The Texas congressional race between incumbent Republican Will Hurd and Democratic challenger Gina Ortiz Jones is still too close to call following a dramatic overnight in which Ortiz Jones pulled ahead, Hurd pulled back on top, and news outlets across the nation retracted their projections.
On Wednesday morning in Congressional District 23, the state's only consistent battleground district, Hurd was leading Ortiz Jones by 689 votes, with all precincts counted.
"This election is not overevery vote matters," said Noelle Rosellini, a spokesperson for Ortiz Jones. "We won't stop working until every provisional ballot, absentee ballot, and military or overseas ballot has been counted."

This democrat won’t concede, the botox that has taken over Senator Graham’s brain won’t concede yet FOX STINKING NEWS calls a race for Jon Tester in Montana where 4% of the vote hasn’t been counted and the incumbent is only up by a few thousand votes?
Will Hurd is a Never Trump guy, and since the House is already gone, I don’t particularly care unless he can hold onto his seat until 2020 to be a number count towards the majority.
Ortiz Jones wants free electoral college for all.
Will Hurd did a “road trip” with Beto last summer.
Jones knows only Dems can all the recounts they want until they win. Then the recount stops (miraculous how that works, isn’t it?).
I do not remember a “recount” ever benefiting a Republican. Furthermore, the GOP always seems to be spineless when defending their candidates. Many are p*ssed that we lost the House but what difference does it really make going from Ryan to Pelosi? Both are worthless and have little to do with MAGA. The GOP keeps on giving up districts and states and will ultimately turn into an irrelevant party like in California.
Culberson County (Van Horn, TX) is the only county showing a precinct not yet counted according to the TX SOS’ Office.
