Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said on Wednesday that acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker should recuse himself from oversight of the Russia probe.

“Given his previous comments advocating defunding and imposing limitations on the Mueller investigation, Mr. Whitaker should recuse himself from its oversight for the duration of his time as acting attorney general,” Schumer said in a statement.

Schumer first drew my attention when in the House of representatives, he very aggressively sought to justify the Janet Reno Justice Department, for the actions that led to burning scores of women & children alive at Waco.

Whitaker should put Schumer on notice that he is not above being investigated, himself, for why he is so keen for misuse of Justice Department personnel, to harass the President. His obsessions hardly demonstrate statesmanship!
