The Justice Department stated Wednesday that acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker will overtake supervision of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions Wednesday afternoon and replaced him with Whitaker, Sessions’ chief of staff.

Sessions recused himself from the Russia probe in March 2017, much to President Donald Trump’s chagrin.
This put the Russia probe in Rosenstein’s hands, but after Wednesday’s development, it was unclear who would now supervise the probe with Sessions gone.
“The Acting Attorney General is in charge of all matters under the purview of the Department of Justice,” Sarah Isgur Flores, director of public affairs at the DOJ told The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Maybe someday Sessions will explain why he did it without telling Trump beforehand.
I believe Sessions to be an honorable but misguided man. I can see him being persuaded by DOJ officials to a plan, once he was in place as AG, to restore legitimacy to the DOJ/FBI by quietly sweeping rampant anti-Trump personalities (McCabe/Strock et al.) under the rug and return to business as usual in the swamp. But those of us who know the truth of the attempted coup will never view the DOJ/FBI as legitimate. And that is the real casualty of this sordid enterprise; loyal Americans left feeling they can no longer trust their government, for we have become a nation of men and not law.
The reason the TRUST SESSIONS thing had some believability is that Trump’s a genius and he could’ve fired Sessions 18 months ago with no fallout - Why didn’t he?

The new AG needs to charge Rosenweasel and Mueller...etc ASAP, then the Demonrat House cannot subpoena them due to an ongoing criminal investigation.
