Not necessarily fake news. I just happened to hear the ‘witness’ describe the shooter before I came over to FR. This is a distraught witness who may or may not have seen things clearly. The media is just repeating what this guy said, not making things up from whole cloth.

Ok, he had a small beard in some social networking site photos, and he was Caucasian, so to speak; he was not Middle Eastern. To report middle eastern with a beard for a mass murder was so misleading in this case; our citizens were attacked by a mentally ill USMC combat veteran who should not have access to firearms; in hindsight he should have been committed to a mental health unit, though the cure rate of that is low. Such a betrayal by that man, such a sad saga. May God grant peace, comfort, and salvation to all the victims and their families.
