#MeToo Founder Alyssa Milano Won’t Join Women’s March Over Linda Sarsour’s Participation

Actress and liberal activist Alyssa Milano, whose credits include Who’s the Boss?, Melrose Place, Charmed, My Name is Earl, Mistresses, and Insatiable, and who in 2017 re-launched #MeToo movement, announced last week that she won’t be taking part in the next Women’s March because anti-Zionist, Islamist activist Linda Sarsour is, The Advocate reported.

Milano became aware of Sarsour’s caustic influence on liberal women’s politics when she was a panelist at a political event in Los Angeles last month and was challenged by rightwing reporter Laura Loomer: “You are friends with Linda Sarsour, and both of you ladies have positioned yourselves as speakers and representatives of the #MeToo movement. […] I want to ask you right now to disavow Linda Sarsour because she is a supporter of Sharia law. And under Sharia law, women are oppressed, women are forced to wear a hijab.” Advertisement

Loomer continued: “My question is, will you please disavow her because she is advocating for Sharia law?”

Milano denied the charge, saying, “She’s not. But thank you so much for your question.”

Eventually, Loomer was escorted out of the event, and later posted a story calling Milano “liar and fraud.”

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Linda Sarsour is the child of Arab immigrants from Judea and Samaria. She has been condemned for praising Rasmea Odeh, who in 1969 murdered two Israeli civilians in a bombing. She used vile, pornographic language in attacking Somali-born activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali and Brigitte Gabriel. She is also a zealous supporter of the BDS movement.

But Milano did end up disavowing Sarsour, not so much for the Sharia and the hijab, but over her support for Nation of Islam hatemonger Louis Farrakhan.

Referring to the refusal of Women’s March leaders to condemn Farrakhan’s recent anti-Semitic and homophobic remarks (Women’s March co-chair Tamika Mallory sat in the audience when Farrakhan declared: “The powerful Jews are my enemy.”) Milano told The Advocate: “Any time that there is any bigotry or anti-Semitism in that respect, it needs to be called out and addressed. […] I’m disappointed in the leadership of the Women’s March that they haven’t done it adequately.”

Linda Sarsour defended Mallory on her Facebook page, accusing her detractor of “trashing a strong black woman and holding her accountable for the words of a man is not the way to bring people together.”

Milano is determined not to speak at the next Women’s March if Sarsour or Mallory are invited to the podium.

“I would say no at this point. Unfortunate that none of them have come forward against him at this point. Or even given a really good reason why to support them,” she said.

I wonder if Sarsour believes in all that she promotes (as in living under Sharia herself). I suspect SHE hasn’t had FGM done to her, but she is quite willing to advocate for all areas of Sharia for other females.

She’s wearing a crucifix. Whenever I see that on someone I disagree with, it makes me want to get into a discussion about what they believe about Jesus. I think they always lean toward the love of God, but forget the holy and just aspects.

I think the rules are that we are only allowed to post cheesecake pictures of Alyssa Milano that treat her as a sex object.

Amazing that when initially challenged about Sarsour, Milano didn’t know diddly about her. The airheadedness of these Hollywood types is astounding sometimes.

She was kind of hot for a few years after her role in Who’s the Boss before she got old and gross.

Odd how so few 'liberals' are willing to condemn Farrakhans's antisemitism... AND his hated of all white men...

What’s Alyssa got to say about 4 Dems who have been accused of abuse, or even using child prostitutes, that won election this cycle?

This supports the contention that people need education. It’s also the reason that the academics don’t want conservatives speaking on campus. They are deathly afraid that common sense will reduce their numbers.

Ms. Milano is providing a classic example of liberal’s bigotry affecting behavior.

Her “Charmed” co-star Rose McGowan was raped. Instead of blaming Hollywood elites, Ms. Milano joins with other liberals in blaming all men and especially conservative men. It protects their ideological “tribe” while giving them someone to hate/blame.

We see the same thing with Islam. Liberals privilege Islam, so after every Islamic terrorist attack, they blame general society for its attitude (victim blaming) or blame conservatives / Christians because you know they’re really the bad ones.

All else fails, they conflate the rare acts of violence by conservatives and Christians with common Islamic terrorist attacks or Antifa violence so that your side doesn’t look as bad and the people you hate get most of the blame.

You see the same reaction to Muslim rape gangs in the UK. Ignore it as long as possible. Then blame conservatives for the “Islamophobia”. When that fails, equate wolf-whistles and not wanting to pay for others’ abortions with gangs grooming little girls and raping them. Now the group liberals call the victim isn’t seen as badly, and conservatives are just as “bad”.

This is the evil enabled by “equity”. When a group or ideology commits many more offenses than anyone else, liberalism says you can’t criticize that minority ethnic group or liberals themselves. So they will inflate little stuff by the majority or disliked group and minimize the major stuff by the offending group in the name of fairness.

It is like excusing high murders in one neighborhood by exaggerating the horror of rare white collar crime so that you don’t have to admit how bad the violent neighborhood is, those poor babies can’t handle more bad press and criticism of their way of life.

Wouldn’t it be something if just one radical hollyweird liberal, like her, could be turned to the “good side of the Force?” Maybe then more of them would wake up.
