Maybe so. She was still the incumbent -- so absent a credible primary challenge, she was clearly in a good position to hold the seat.

I do agree that the GOP had a "candidate problem" in many of these races they lost. If I hear one more campaign statement from some useless old Republican @sshole running for Congress in a Rust Belt state, telling people to vote for him because "I was Trump before Trump was here," then I'm going to register as a Green Party member just to vote in primaries for candidates who already know they're losers.

You don’t even understand that district. Handel came out of a huge primary that had very good candidates. Her name was recognizable because she had been around for a long time doing nothing. She beat Paul Ryan’s body double in a special election....and not by much. She did nothing in her short time in congress and she pissed off a bunch of her base constituents.

You do that you lose
