True. It is this kind of thing that starts a downhill spiral for many elderly folks.

In the end the Republicans will not get the AZ and FL senate seats. Too many Democrat votes remain to be found. Franken method of finding votes is in play.
I have read the U.S. Constitution and I don't see the requirement that the Senate hold committee hearings on court nominees.
Nominate someone and take the nomination directly to the floor of the Senate a few days later. Let everyone give a little speech and take a vote. If the nominee is confirmed, he/she is confirmed.
Be fair, but avoid all the drama.
