I hope she is not in too much pain, but she should retire. Lost my mom in her 80s to a fall from broken hip. Small and frail like Ruth. Same with MIL fell on mahogany furniture broke hip and died. No meat on their bones. Very tough to recover.

“That is a serious injury at that age.”

Not serious enough! She’s still above room temperature. But we can hope that it prompts her to consider she’s past her sell by date and retire. You would think that she would have enough sense left to quit, given the fact that she’s now irrelevant to the court’s process now.

They should have propped her up better. News I read reports other ailments, like not breathing, cold, past rigor. Maybe Trump will get another nomination before the end of the year? And with larger majority and the egg on Democrat faces last time around, maybe the next will go rather smoothly? Okay, wishful thinking.

Just broken ribs...she is way ahead of the game. Fractured wrists as you cushion a fall, broken hip, limbs is much worse for the elderly.

She should heal up and resign the SC as she is healing. Go see your grandchildren.

If they stuck her in a nursing home she could sue for big bucks.

Better Call Saul!

The reason they get full salary at retirement at a certain age with 20 years service is so they will retire and leave spots for new people. Scalia said he was working for free. I don’t see Thomas making same mistake as Ruth. His rv is ready.
