Roberts made a legal decision. You can argue with it. Not everyone agreed with it. But it was an honest decision based on his philosophy of judicial restraint. It wasn't really a surprise. And no, he didn't make anything up to do it.
That one decision doesn't mean that now Roberts is a leftist. He's made many other decisions, and been part of many 5-4 decisions. This fixation on his Obamacare opinion is silly.

How do you explain the reports that he wrote one decision, which he shared with other justices; Then, at the last minute,he wrote the effective decision, which was opposite?
That does not sound like an honest decision.

You are wrong. Roberts REWROTE the legislation making the penalty a “tax”. This is a textbook example of “legislating from the bench”, the very thing we conservatives abhor the most.
