OK, different angle shows he tried to push her arm away and keep her from grabbing the mike. I’m not defending him, just saying that the arm contact shouldn’t be the rationale for his removal when his churlish behavior more than does the job.

Right. But there was thread here, yesterday, that had a video embedded that shows him grabbing her forearm with a clenched hand, not just swatting her away. That’s the video CNN/Acosta is claiming is doctored and from Post #8 in the current thread, that appears to be the case.
Now mind you, either way, Acosta was wrong. Trump should just give CNN a new pass for someone else. Just not Acosta. No issues then. No one can scream about freedom of the press blah blah.
Well, if it was doctored, it was doctored. There are people even on this forum saying that Mr. Acosta did not touch her. I think he did, but maybe they were looking at a different angle.
The truth will eventually out.

I saw it when it happened. The video released by the Whitehouse is accurate. She merely tried to take the microphone and Acosta karate chopped, albeit softly, the interns arm.

The conduct of a handful of so-called reporters during Trump’s news conference was disgraceful beyond measure. This is not journalism, this is narcissism....Acosta was the instigator who barely ever asks questions — he makes accusations and argues his opinion.

Trump realized he’d made a mistake, murmuring, “Here we go,”......Acosta insisted that despite the president’s use of the word “invasion,” the caravan of Central American migrants “is not an invasion.” The he bega lecturing the President.
