If you ever have to use a firearm to defend your home, you better have a series of lawyers on speed dial. You need Law Shield or a membership in an organization that will defend you. If you don't, and you shoot someone, expect your legal bills to be an average of $250,000.
If you shoot someone, call 911, and request an ambulance and the police, then hang up. Never say: "I just shot someone."
When the police arrive, say nothing until your lawyer(s) arrive.
And then, they "fun" will begin. Expect them to get a warrant to search your entire home. Hope you don't have an "illegal" bullet or any paperwork out of order.
Expect your local prosecutor's office the police to scrutinize every aspect of your actions. "Now.....tell us again.....did you think you REALLY had no other recourse but to shoot? I thought you said the victim (yes, the man you shot is now a "victim") had an open doorway to your left? Why didn't you let him go that way? Was he holding the knife/gun at waist level at this time? Where was your field of vision focused? And on, and on, and on.
Oh, you'll have a good time.
If you're lucky, you might not be charged. If you're "unlucky", expect your life to be turned upside, if not ruined.
Welcome to America in 2018.
Blah blah blah. If antifa is breaking in the house, Id rather they pickup a firearm to defend their family than cower in fear and wait for the police to arrive. Your mileage may vary.
That’s just the Legal dilemma.
Rest assured the “Victim’s” family will be suing.
Much better than running, hiding, weeping. Lock and load. Again, your mileage may vary.
