Get them Trump! Whitaker is VERY qualified!
The President has named him as acting attorney general under the Vacancies Reform Act of 1998 (the relevant provisions are codified at Sections 3345 and 3346 of Title 5, U.S. Code). There has been some commentary suggesting that because Whitaker was in a job (chief of staff) that did not require Senate confirmation, he could not become the acting officer in a position (AG) that calls for Senate confirmation. Not so. The Vacancies Act enables the president to name an acting officer, who may serve as such for 210 days, as long as the person named has been working at the agency or department for at least 90 days in a fairly high-ranking position. Whitaker qualifies.

DJT will either get rid of Kelly Ann Conway, or she will get rid and dump that worthless pile of **** she married...
Sadly four kids are involved...
Possible she will step down...
what ever...life will go on for the DJT ADMINISTRATION.
I like Kellyanne quite a lot, but I think it’s time for her to go. Her husband is a liability and he’s using her to do damage to the president. She should resign or be fired.
Great thread about Whitaker here:

1. There is a new Attorney General in town, and his name is Matthew Whitaker! We could speculate as to the many reasons why Sessions “resigned” etc, but that isn’t what this thread is going to be about. This thread is going to be about why this choice is no accident.

I’d say the gloves are most definitely off.
I think Kellyanne needs to divorce her husband already. It’s one thing to mouth off on Twitter, but taking out editorials criticizing your wife’s boss is a betrayal by any definition. He’s literally trying to sabotage her career.
Further, Trump argued that Whitaker was originally Senate-confirmed as a U.S. attorney under the Bush administration over a decade ago.
Eat that, the senior judicial analyst for Fox.
The best part is at the end of the article.
A reporter questions Mr. Trump about comments of George Conway. The president responds “You mean Mister Kellyanne Conway? He just wants attention!”
Ha! Shots fired. Everyone knows the president is correct on this. George Conway looks insecure, desperate and disloyal slamming his wife’s boss over and over.
The sad part about it is, I would not be surprised one day to read that George Conway did something terrible to harm both himself and Kellyanne. This is a man with deep, festering problems. The kids have to be aware of his anxiety. Most children watch their parents very closely.
It’s time to “retire” Kellyanne.
Not that it will stop her husband fro running his mouth.
But for a trust issue regarding Kellyanne.
She could be a leaker.
Who can trust a WH staffer who has a spouse
so vocal in negative comments about Trump.
If she cannot get her husband to be respectful of
her and her job, she should resign or divorce him.
One or the other.
32 state attorneys general did NOT sign a letter demanding Whittaker refuse himself.
Being a former college football player, let us bless the new acting AG and encourage him to go all Jack Lambert in the justice dept.
I am a lawyer. The fact that you have an opinion doesn’t preclude you from being an attorney in a case. Most attorney’s do have opinions about their case. Most prosecutors think the defendant is guilty, which is why they filed the case. Most defense lawyers think their client is innocent, but there is nothing that prevents them from representing the defendant even if they know he’s guilty. An attorney is supposed to be an advocate for a particular position, so the fact that they believe in their cause is not disqualifying.
Now that’s not true of a judge. A judge is supposed to be impartial, at least until he hears the evidence and decides the case. But the Attorney General is not a judge.
Just now on @WMALDC: J. Christian Adams reveals anti-Trumpers Ed O'Callahan and Sarah Isgur Flores leaking on behalf of Rod Rosenstein to damage Matt Whittaker and try to force recusal.
Nothing personal against her, but I thought she was a winsome but terribly annoying spokespeep for the President.
She's got the second most annoying female political voice on TV and her rote output has always consisted of the same tired talking points over and over and over again....and she never stops nasal-ing and babbling-on without coming up for air till she's thankfully interrupted by the interviewer.
Too bad for her, and I DO feel bad for her, but that's the breaks in the business she's in.
