Many people are unarmed, but have not made a conscious choice to *be* unarmed.
Those people can be converted to the armed mindset much easier than those who have consciously chosen to be unarmed.
Much of the push for "gun control" is an effort to expand the size of those who are unarmed, but never chose to be unarmed.
Good point. The unarmed who have never given it much thought are more likely to become armed with the right encouragement. We have steered several friends and relatives that way by simply taking them to the range and letting them shoot our weapons.
