MEXICO CITY (AP) — Thousands of Central American migrants decided to depart Mexico City on Friday and head toward the northern city of Tijuana, opting for the longer but likely safer route to the U.S. border, caravan organizers said.

Eddy Rivera, a 37-year-old farm worker from Cortes, Honduras, said he couldn’t take staying at the sports complex any longer.

“We’re all sick from the cold, from the humidity. We want to leave already, we have to get to Tijuana,” said Rivera, who left behind his four children and wife in Honduras and wanted to earn money to build a house.

“Apparently no money and no house and no good job but he has 4 kids.”

I was born in Boston during the great depression-—that’s how it was then——and the adults coped and forged on.

No good reason for this guy to obtain refugee status.

The Port of Entry is Federal as will be any tent city. Illegals aren’t going to be released, just asylum hearing and deport.

Trump can’t use the military to enforce laws, but he can use them to stop an invasion if he declares it such.

And then put them on buses and trains and ship them all over the country. I wonder what is going to happen if Pres. Trump sends military to California and Gov. Brown sends the National Guard to oppose that?

Is it true that a caravan of Palestinians are forming to go into Israel?

So he wants to build a house-——wait until he sees the zoning laws and regulations needed to build a house and,of course, the cost.

He sounds like an idiot.

I bet California can send more immigration lawyers than we have available units in California. Unless you count the Navy but can’t they can’t do a whole lot on the Rio Grande

“We’re all sick from the cold, from the humidity. "

I hate to be the bearer of this sad news, but the further North you go, the colder it's going to get.

Like the caravans of Germanic and Celtic warriors that sought refuge and respite in Rome just before it fell as a Great Civilization?

I guess no one ever told the geniuses of the illegal alien invasion horde that the Sierra Madres mountains really do exist and that past them is a whole lot of desert. All of it filled with Mexicans who have no pity for them.

"Marlon Ivan Mendez...said he left because gangs were charging him rent to live in his own home".

Sorry Marlon, we got the same chit here. Our gangs call it "property tax".

yeah, I have seen it, he wants to come here to make money to build a house................in Honduras. They come here live a dozen or more to a two bedroom apartment, like cockroaches and send as much money as possible home, out of the American economy. They don't pay taxes, or very little because they claim max dependents then they get a taxpayer ID from the IRS and get hundreds of unearned dollars in refund courtesy of the American taxpayer.

And then most of these 'married' men that left their families behind will find a new 'wife' and start siring lots of anchor babies and scoring all the little goodies like housing assistance insurance, food assistance, etc. all courtesy of the legal American taxpayers. Oh and those wives? most of them never really marry, that's why you find that the 'wives' almost never have the same surname as their 'husband'.

“...Hector Wilfredo Rosales, a 46-year-old electrician from Olancho, Honduras, who was traveling with his 16-year-old son-in-law...”

This caravan situation sickens me to no end. These people are making the decent hardworking people of Honduras look even worse than most US residents already see them. I know by personal observation that any “electrician” in Honduras who can twist two wires together without getting killed can make a living, even though most have never heard of wire nuts. Señor Rosales should have spent more time making sure his kid stayed in school and kept his “Clinton” in his pants. The biggest problem in this country (Honduras) is way too many 16-year-old son-in-laws who are unemployed high school dropouts.
