Its always useful to remember Nancy Pelosi got her start in Jim Joness San Francisco.
Nancy Pelosi won more than 85 percent of the vote in her district on Tuesday. Donald Trump received less than 10 percent of San Franciscos ballots in 2016.
In hailing from a city that bans plastic straws, freebie Happy Meal toys, and the sale of fur coats, Pelosi represents a parochial cosmopolitanism that does not translate well to other districts. Whereas Speakers Paul Ryan and John Boehner answered to constituents from Middle America as they operated as national figures, Nancy Pelosi faces, again, a unique challenge.
The incoming Speaker of the House speaks for, well, the House of Representatives, but she represents a geographically tiny districtthe nations smallest outside of Manhattanthat ranks as one of the most politically homogenous in the nation. Nancy Pelosi can represent her constituents or speak for her colleagues. She cannot do both. This poses problems for the sustainability of the Democratic House majority.

I’m not even going to pay attention to her or those loons in the house. They’re powerless because we have the senate and WH, and hopefully another conservative on SCOTUS by summer of 2019.
I remember that!
Jim Jones was a communist so of course Pelosi would see him as a kindred spirit.
Well, they seem nice.
There's a whole library of books that could be written about the SF political swamp connecting the People's Temple back then to current national politics.
Paul Ryan and John Boehner did not answer to the constituents of Middle America. That is why the constituents of Middle America wanted them replaced.
Jim Jones. Harvey Milk. Nancy Pelosi. Dianne Feinstein.
Evil loves the company of evil.
I’m pretty sure she’ll strongly support research into dementia.
