Sinema widens lead over McSally in Arizona Senate race
The Hill ^ | 11/09/18 | Chris Mills Rodrigo

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (D) widened her lead over Rep. Martha McSally (R) in the heated Arizona Senate race after a new round of ballots from Maricopa County were tallied in the Democrat's favor late Friday.

The vast majority of the votes tallied Friday came from Maricopa County, the state's largest, where there were an estimated 345,000 uncounted votes prior to Friday's tranche of results.

Results from Maricopa were closely divided, with Sinema holding just a 2.5 percentage point lead over McSally on Thursday night.

Before Friday's release, Pima County had the next-largest chunk of uncounted ballots. The county, which houses the more left-leaning Tuscon, had 80,000 uncounted ballots. Sinema led there by 13 percentage points as of Friday afternoon.

The largest pool of votes likely to favor McSally come from Pinal County, where an estimated 30,000 votes remain untallied. McSally, on Friday, led Sinema by 14 percentage points in the county.

Fridays wave of results came the same day a settlement was reached in a Phoenix courtroom that permits rural voters to have extra time to fix issues with their ballots, according to The Associated Press.

The settlement is a compromise in response to a Republican lawsuit that sought to stop urban voters from making those changes on the ballots.

Republicans alleged that some county recorders weren’t using a uniform procedure to make changes to mail-in ballots, specifically claiming that Maricopa and Pima counties improperly gave up to five days after Tuesday's election to make those changes.

Counties will now have a deadline of Nov. 14 to make those fixes to problematic mail-in ballots.

How does a republican governor win his race by 17 percentage points, and the republican senate candidate lose?

A little encouragement, Fox commentator just said more votes from more conservative area of state expected as well as military ballots yet to come.

Not over ....yet.

Because the voters may have not liked McSally in the first place. Some probably might have been turned-off by Trump (Feelings/emotions before reason). The system makes fraud easier to enact. Bottom line; a lot of different situations apparently.

The dead are a very reliable Dem vote, so are cartoon characters, and pet so theres that. Some of them also vote multiple times so you gotta factor that in too.

He’ll, we give them the votes cast by illegals no questions asked. When that’s not enough they manufacture votes out of thin air. When all of DS DC blatantly tries to overturn the results of a national election and not even a hand gets slapped why wouldn’t they do this? These criminals know there’s no penalty to be paid if caught.

>>>Can’t blame them for stealing the election when nothing happens to them

This is what I have said on multiple threads. I have stopped blaming Democrats. I don't blame them any more than I blame a three-year-old for bad behavior. I blame the Republicans for letting them constantly get away with it and not exposing it.

Not nearly enough time. We need to give until March 15, 2837 to allow for all the ballots to be counted.

“How does a republican governor win his race by 17 percentage points, and the republican senate candidate lose?”

Because the senate is critical to the dems.

No voting machines in Pima County. We fill in little bubbles with a pen and the hard copies are kept - I hope...:^)

brazen. rampant. theft.

I don’t recall if arpaio and ward closed ranks behind her after the primaries, but if they didn’t, then a pox on their houses.
