If all the election judges are D (They are legally allowed to sign as the two required R judges if no R's sign up) they can vote over and over for people they know who have not shown up to vote as the polls are closing. It only takes a few seconds to fill in the few races that are important. They can skip all the local judges, ballot initiatives, etc. and go right for governor, senator, etc.
I don’t think it’s a pall for a Dem, more like a badge of honor, winning by any means.

I believe the Democrats stole our 2016 governorship here in North Carolina, because the race was very close between McCrory (R) and Cooper (D), but they let 8 precincts in liberal Durham County have an extension to vote due to “technical glitches.” Needless to say, the Democrat, Roy Cooper won after that.
I’ve always said that, if democrats didn’t cheat in elections, they would always be a minority party, no bigger than the green party.
What happened in the Brat race? I am in the 7th District and am curious what happened.
Republicans are really just plain stupid when it comes to elections. They should have been prepared for rampant, multi-faceted cheating in an election of this magnitude. Yet they did nothing, and even now seem clueless as to how to respond. If the rats get away with stealing all these seats, the result will be major voting apathy for republicans the next election.

Mitchell became famous, at least here on FR and in conservative circles, in 2016 by (correctly) analyzing the polls and declaring them bogus. At the time he was a “headhunter” (executive recruiter) in NC and almost alone among everyone on Twitter, he 100% guaranteed Trump would win which earned him a tremendous amount of ridicule and jeering. When he turned out to be completely right he moved to West Palm Beach, FL, and started an online show called Your Voice America. It’s OK but not great (IMO). Just another guy trying to capitalize on media fame.
I used to follow Mitchell on Twitter but his ridiculously over-the-top optimism and predictions turned me off and I unfollowed him recently. He had this “Slowwalker” theory that in early October, in time for the mid-terms, Sessions (!) would drop all these indictments on HC, Comey, McCabe, Strozk, etc., and sweep to a huge victory. Of course that didn’t happen, and now he has all sorts of explanations and excuses for why it didn’t and how he’s still right. No one in Establishment DC will ever be indicted, much less imprisoned, so let’s be realistic. You had a nice run, Mitchell, but you really out-punted your coverage.
