DOJ Charges Hotel with Discrimination for not Hiring Immigrant in Fraud-Infested Asylum Program
Center for Immigration Studies ^ | 08 November 2018

In a case that helps illustrates why illegal immigrants game the system, the Trump administration is punishing a major hotel chain for refusing to hire a man that is not a lawful permanent resident or American citizen. Like countless undocumented aliens seeking quick employment, the man applied for asylum, a fraud-infested government program famously abused by foreigners to obtain work permits and other benefits in the U.S.

Maybe with Sessions gone this particular case will change.

You recon that is because more are coming in. Or because more of the ones coming on are being caught? I think the later.

Should be charged for not hiring AMERICAN CITIZENS. Deport the unnecessary immigrants and illegal aliens.

Wrong, someone who is most likely an Obama holdover bureaucrat.

So the E-verify system is in place, the feds run commercials extolling its virtues, asking everyone to use it, and yet this? What crap. Sometimes you wonder if this is worth it all. We need another revolution, Trump may not be enough.

And Sessions, thankfully, is now gone...so perhaps this case will be dropped.

Only if Whitaker or Trump are aware of it, which I suggest is most likely not the case. Remember there is a lot going on there and unless it gets attention most likely those at the top are unaware of it.

Re: "Wrong, someone who is most likely an Obama holdover bureaucrat."

The decision technically falls within the four corners of the law.

After filing for asylum, he became eligible for USA employment after 180 days, even if his case is on appeal, or even if he is lying.

I read the Settlement ($2,078 civil penalty), but it gave no details at all about the immigrant except that he was “employment authorized.”

Re: “That still had nothing to do with the Trump administration.”

Perhaps.

But Trump is the Chief Executive Officer of the DOJ.

He has the authority to remove every Obama-appointed senior executive and replace them all with his own executives.

At the very least, Trump should have eyes and ears all over DOJ who alert him to potential embarrassments like this BEFORE they are exposed by the Conservative press.

Who is talking about Obama appointed people, I am talking about Obama supporting bureaucrats. The whole government is infested with them and Trump is powerless to do anything about them.

Re: “You recon that is because more are coming in. Or because more of the ones coming on are being caught?”

This specific case is about an “asylum” claim.

Just by claiming a “credible fear” of being returned to his home country, he becomes eligible for Medicaid, rent assistance, Food Stamps, sometimes even cash if he has a family or is disabled.

After 180 days, if his asylum case has not been settled, he becomes eligible to work in the USA, too.

In about 90% of asylum cases, the immigration judge either rejects the case, or the immigrants do not show up for court.

Re: “Who is talking about Obama appointed people, I am talking about Obama supporting bureaucrats.”

Yes, that was obvious.

However, mid-level “lifers” do not work independently, or initiate lawsuits, or settle lawsuits, without the approval of senior executives or their personal staff.

The DOJ has more than 200 Senate-confirmed positions.

If Trump can't get timely and salient political information from 200 hundred of his own people, well, that's kind of pathetic.
