?? Re pending. Has he named names to all those positions? If not how many people has he actually sent their names to Senate?

Their names have been sent to the senate. Their nominations are pending either in committee or on the floor.

Official count is 135 vacancies with 56 nominations pending.

Note that the total number of judges does not include those on ‘Senior’ status (semi-retired). Senior judges hear cases but might not work full-time. This makes judicial vacancies in some places less critical than in others.

And note that judicial nominations as well as other Trump nominations were botched by Chris Christie when he headed the transition team, so the President started out behind where he should have been for all appointments.
