Trump appointed Whitaker under the Federal Vacancies Act which doesn’t require Senate confirmation. And he didn’t ask McConnell or Grassley for permission to remove Sessions because the Senate doesn’t get a vote on it.
You were clueless when you began spouting that the Senate was preventing Trump from replacing Sessions. And now that he did it without Senate involvement you’re simply stuck on stupid. You’ve got plenty of company because none of you bothered to find out what the law allowed Trump to do.

For political reasons, he waited until after the midterms.
There was no blue wave. They took the house but he picked up seats in the Senate where Flake and Corker will no longer be v there to vex him.
