I thought I read that the cops knew they were going drinking so disarmed since we all know that booze and guns DO NOT mix well. So, uber, lyft since it appear there was no designated driver? I don’t know other than the whole thing is awful. Especially since the “authorities” had been in contact with the perp and decided he was okay. As earlier, had he burned the place down killing all inside, would there be an outcry to stop all production of combustibles? You are absolutely correct. You are not going to stop a man with a plan. I don’t care how many laws, restrictions on law abiding people or magic signs declaring a place “Gun free”, the man with the plan is going to strike.
