I expect this was a legal alien registered under the Motor Voter law. While legally present in the country, obviously, as a non-citizen, she wasn’t eligible to vote. Given that there are over 10m green card holders, as well as other work permit holders numbers in the millions, the pool of potential non-citizen votes is huge. We need exemplary punishments for non-citizen voting. Felony convictions would do the trick, given that this would result in deportation after the sentence was carried out.
And if any voted or attempted to vote, they should be charged and allowed to self-deport, else be prosecuted, jailed, then deported.
