Believe it or not, the first time I was on the Internet was in 1983 trying to down load information from a database onto our brave little appleIIb. Watching bits float by was amazing at first, then not so amazing.

So many possibilities in life back then.

In 1983, I was running a TRS80 Model 16 with Xenix. The C compiler and a few hours work allowed porting the full System V UUCP suite. A 1200 bps modem from the ham swap meet and I was good to go sending e-mail. A ham buddy at UCSD set me up with a SLIP account to get to the internet. It was primitive. A few goofy servers with search engines. You had to download a file of host names where the search target was located, the manually execute ftp to the host. My first TCP/IP setups at the office were "star" SLIP hubs with a UNIX host equipped with a 32 port serial board. 19200 bps between local machines. It took months to get Ethernet approved, but that happened in Fall 1986. Soon, we had the whole company networked.

I’m getting old, my neuropathy in my feet is catching up with me and I simply fell getting out of bed in the middle of the night. Wish it happened doing something more risky or glamorous but alas, not to be. LOL!!

No he did not.

They had a spectacularly bad breakup,both treating each other badly and are both still in court because of it.

Heartbreaking.

Now people use the courts to enforce laws that were meant for abuse of serious nature to attack and destroy people.

Especially since her father is a LEO.

That old saw about not breaking up with the daughter until she is done with you...is true.
