There are seven Federal Judges for the Middle District of Georgia. Judge Leslie Abrams is next to last in terms of seniority. If the typical random assignment drawing assigns Judge Abrams this case, and if the five senior judges don’t change that assignment before it ever hits her desk, and if Judge Abrams doesn’t recuse herself, and if the five senior judges don’t reassign the case when she fails to recuse herself, this will be a story. Until then it is click bait hysteria contingent on the occurrence of four unlikely events.
