Hey, union thug, worry about putting out fires and stay out of stuff that doesn't concern you. YOU are the one bringing politics into the situation.

We have known for YEARS that wildfires are due in large part to environmental policies that worship the earth at the cost of human life and property.

Trump applauds ALL firefighters who risk themselves for our safety. The point is they SHOULDN'T have to do it so often, but are forced to do so because of stupid policies.

Amen. And think also of how in a year like 1960 or 1970 or even 1980, people likely did not move into these areas en masse like they seem to do so now where the wildfires are part of the natural life cycle of the environment there.

Obviously it takes more than just manpower to deal with forest management.

It’s my understanding that funding for Forest Management was not applied and used for other forms of Cali govt.

I think the huge homeless situation in Cali is creating fires as well. They have this huge influx of illegals sneaking in who end up camping outside and it’s probably going to get worse as it gets colder.

I think the firefighters union should keep their mouths shut. But at the same time I’ve seen these fires up close and personal and I fix the blame on stupid people and accidents. Plus throw in some dry lightning for fun. Once these fires in this brush gets going with hurricane force winds, nothing can stop it. Like I’ve said before you can’t landscape the entire countryside. One other thing, setting backfires should only be used in extreme situations.

Blame CA Democrats who have raised taxes in urban areas to the point that people have to populate the wilderness in order to live in that state.

These areas were never designed to be safe suburbs....up to your a** in tinder and no way of fighting fires pushed by the Santa Anna winds. Nature will win every time and no sane insurance companies should cover property in that environment.

Irresponsible and reckless are terms not synonymous with untrue. Clearly they admit the President is speaking the truth, albeit in a politically unvarnished tone.

Nothing Trump said was against the firefighters.

Unless the fir fighters are now also in charge of Forest Management, which is news to most of us.

The media cannot read anything correctly, and it seems union members of the Fire Fighters cannot either.

TRUMP never criticized the fire fighters.

It’s like criticizing an ongoing war and the politicians who botch it; the military overseas will understandably feel bad about that. But it must be done.

And we DO NOT care about Trump’s supposed tone or acting un-presidential. He actually fights against the Left and wins.

Local union fireman retiring in my small county of Santa Cruz, CA

Bruce A Clark Employer: CENTRAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF SANTA CRUZ COUNTY
Pension: CalPERS, 2017 $247,120.44

Some of the Los Angeles City firemen are retiring with a pension of over $1 million per year.

Could do a lot of fire prevention with that money.

So does the Internationalist (which used to mean communist; does it still?) trade union think the current fire situation in CA is GOOD??? Jumping on Trump for criticizing the policies that produced it, requires that they approve of the results of those policies. I wonder if firefighters on the line today would rather controlled burns and sensible land development/immigration enforcement had eliminated the threat.

Wait, if the Victims of Hurricane Michael are represented by climate deniers, can't the same be said of California? If all the true believers in LaLa Land could not stop fires from starting, then why believe in climate change?

You beat me to it. ....I was about to unload a boatload of crap on that union BS, but you had already covered most of my intended comments.

I’m getting riled up that every time a Pubbie says something that is true, the leftists and their unions have to twist what is said into something that’s an affront to them.
