Burying the Other Russia Story [Dems to coverup CIA, FB I abuses]
WSJ ^ | 11/9/2018 | WSJ

Arguably the most important power at stake in Tuesday’s election was Congressional oversight, and the most important change may be Adam Schiff at the House Intelligence Committee. The Democrat says his top priority is re-opening the Trump-Russia collusion probe, but more important may be his intention to stop investigating how the FBI and Justice Department abused their power in 2016. So let’s walk through what we’ve learned to date.

Credit for knowing anything at all goes to Intel Chairman Devin Nunes and more recently a joint investigation by Reps. Bob Goodlatte... and Trey Gowdy... Over 18 months of reviewing tens of thousands of documents and interviewing every relevant witness, no Senate or House Committee has unearthed evidence that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia... If Special Counsel Robert Mueller has found more, he hasn’t made it public.

But House investigators have uncovered details of a Democratic scheme to prod the FBI to investigate the Trump campaign. We now know that the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee hired Fusion GPS, which hired an intelligence-gun-for-hire, Christopher Steele, to write a “dossier” on Donald Trump’s supposed links to Russia...

All of which puts an additional onus on Mr. Trump to declassify key FBI and Justice documents sought by Mr. Nunes and other House investigators before Mr. Schiff buries the truth. A few weeks ago Mr. Trump decided to release important documents, only to renege under pressure from Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein and members of the intelligence community.

Mr. Sessions resigned this week and perhaps Mr. Rosenstein will as well. Meantime, Mr. Trump should revisit his decision and help Mr. Nunes and House Republicans finish the job in the lame duck session of revealing the truth about the misuse of U.S. intelligence and the FISA court in a presidential election.

The biggest winners from the 2018 mid-terms? Brennan and Comey.

Credit also goes to Judicial Watch for uncovering the documents that led to the revelations of corruption at the FBI and DOJ.

Every time I read an article like this I get really upset. Why write this stuff UNLESS something will eventually be done about the corruption throughout our government? It’s not just democrats or republicans that are corrupt, it’s happens on both sides. I have never seen so much open evidence, sufficient to put numerous people in jail, yet NOTHING is done to “pick the hanging fruit”. Instead, investigations get underway, evidence is gathered, and things seem to just end there. When, oh WHEN, will thoue “perps” be held accountable?

Does anyone know if the new acting Attorney General can conduct the investigation within the Justice Department and get some answers outside the congress?

The Republican controlled Senate can conduct their own investigations of the RAT corruption. So can the DOJ under the leadership of a new Attorney General.

I think he can. Also the Senate. But so far, the GOP has been very lackluster in their approach to this, with the exception of Nunez. I think the Congressional GOP is unwilling to hold the FBI’s and CIA’s feet to the fire. Also, the DOJ is unwilling.

I question whether the truth will ever come out.

“Reps. Bob Goodlatte... and Trey Gowdy”

Both of whom QUIT.

Tells you all you need to know.

So now Trump is supposed to go it alone?

I was on the Trump train from day one and since then have felt that he is our last chance to save the country. To be honest, I don’t think he can do it alone any longer. When you look at the hundreds of millions that were poured into the midterm races to spew lies, the vote fraud, the phony Russia charges from 2016, the media hammering on him 24/7, the backstabbing republicans that don’t have his back after all he’s done for the party and accomplished for this country. Constantly calling Trump and his supporters racists. The Hollywood losers with high profiles making ads against him. When you factor in the upcoming non-stop investigations and subpoenas, I just don’t see how he can, as you say, “go it alone”. I don’t think it’s fair to expect him to. After the vote fraud that just occurred in four states and seeing how none of it shows signs of letting up, I almost wish he wouldn’t run in 2020 and put himself through that. The level of disrespect he encounters from the media and both parties is alarming. I am inclined to let them reap what they’ve sown. Unfortunately we all will have to suffer the consequences anyway. Short of a miracle or a civil war, I don’t see how we stop the slide into third world. I’m not quitter. No one’s fought off liberals more than I have on a personal level. It just seems futile. You can’t reason with them. Even with facts. The next generation has already been brainwashed. We’ve lost the universities. I just don’t see how we take back the country when we are about to lose all of the ground we’ve already made with our President. Sorry for the rant. I’m just feeling very sad at what has been done to our culture. I know it’s wrong, but I want them to suffer for what they have done to us. I wish there was a way to make secession work.
