My prediction: Kasich will switch parties and run against Trump as a Democrat.

I’d wager everything I own that the Mailman’s Son is gonna run as an “Independent” in 2020.

You're close.he'd never get the Rat Party nomination in a zillion years.Post #42 puts forth a far more plausible scenario.

Jazz hands Kasich is still sore over his loss to President Trump

He's also sore from letting ex-prezemdint Skidmark put it up his bung...

Running as a third party spoiler might be his goal. The Dems have financed spoilers in some Congressional and Senate races to take enough vote from the GOP candidate to ensure the Dem wins. If Kasich picked up just 5% of the votes in Ohio he could deliver Ohio’s electoral votes to the Dem. picking up 1-2% of the votes in Michigan, Florida and Wisconsin would ensure Trump couldn’t repeat the Electoral College win of 2016.

No doubt Tom Steyer and George Soros would be happy to throw a few million at Kasich to play spoiler in 2020.

Philippe Pétain is known mostly as a Nazi collaborator, the French equivalent of his contemporary Vidkun Quisling of Norway.

So I suggest we rename John Kasich to John Pétain Quisling. 8>)

Which reminds me:

Hopefully, any enterprising young combatant in the upcoming CW knows to take out the trash on our side, first.

Kasich is jeopardizing his RINO credentials.

tweets amazing fool Kasich...EmmanuelMacron is right: “Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism..By saying our interests first, who cares about the others, we erase what a nation holds dearest...its moral values.

America was founded as the shining city on the hill. United, we can keep it that way

I do suspect that in Mister Kasich's sick little mind, he thinks that there will be a groundswell of indies and moderates who will boost him to the 2020 president election; and that being a Conservative/Trump contrarian somehow helps is odd plight. This could include a "centrist" party formation.

Other than some NYT and WaPo glam that was previously reserved for Mister McCain, Kasich will be relegated to the beyond-back bench, behind the Real Back Bench of history's most windmill tiltingist, least likely to stir voter approval, and most embarrassing failure of the young twenty-first century.

The thing about Kasich is, he would lose to virtually *any* Democrat candidate if he were to run. But he would lose “the right way”, like a good GOP loser.

Good observation, my FRiend.

BTW, nice tag line.

Yes, perhaps with uber gun grabber Scott Kelly as a VEEP candidate.

Realistically, my money is on him for Never Trump’s quixotic primary run in 2020, followed by a successful independent bid. Flake, Kristol, Hayes, etc will all be behind him. The media will cover McCain’s posthumous endorsement live from his funeral. Kasich can maybe throw Ohio and the election to the Democrats and restore the Never Trump grifters to their favorite position of influence: opposition theater to leftist governance.

I despise that a**h**e. Strict term limits, so that people such as this self-promoting unethical dirtbag have to get real jobs, and live under the same rules the rest of us do.

I am so sick of fake virtue signaling by people like him. Trump saved us from Hillary. Does Kasich think the Clintons are ethical and good people? Really? Are Trump's tweets worse than Bill Clinton getting oral sex from a White House intern, in the Oval Office? Were Trump's locker room comments worse than JFK having affairs with multiple women while a sitting President, or worse than his brother driving a young woman who wasn't his wife off a bridge and then not reporting this for 10 hours? Mr. Kasich, government is full of people who do not deserve to be in office, let alone afforded any stature and accolades. Change parties already. Please.
