On the falling away:
From the True and the Righteous:
And the words He says which some won’t understand.
Don’t accept that’s what’s happening:
Is just a case of other points of view:
Or you’ll find that you’re joining in:
The falling away.
It’s a sin that somehow:
Light is changed for darkness:
And casting a pall over all we have known:
Unafraid of a Righteous God:
Driven on by a heart of stone:
Could we find that we’re all alone in the dream of the saved?
On the wings of the day:
As the nighttime is stirring:
Where the vocal unite in a deafening roar:
Using words you will find are strange:
Mesmerized as they light the flame:
Feel the ‘new wind’ of progress:
In this deepening night!
No more falling away:
From the True and Righteous:
No more falling away to the coldness inside!
Just a Gospel we all must share!
It’s not enough just to stand and stare!
Is it only a dream that there’ll be no more falling away?
