If you use the Left’s/Black extremist revisionists way of thinking about American “nationalism” as being a negative force, the appeal of Abraham Lincoln to northerners/anti-slave people, etc. above the Mason-Dixon Line to fight for “the Union” shouldn’t have happened because it was an appeal to “AMERICAN NATIONALISM”, the preservation of THE UNION, i.e. the United States of America.
I guess we will have to go to Gettysburg Battlefield, on the main drive-thru, and stop at the Pennsylvania Volunteers Regiment monument/obelisk for Yankee soldiers who came from Sykesville and DuBois, among other small towns, and tell them that they were “nationalists” and evil people.
On that monument are listed about 17 members of one family, that of my late WW2 combat veteran father-in-law. His family has defended America since the earliest colonies of the 1600’s, and his grandson, my son, was one of the first American soldiers to go into Iraq to liberate those oppressed people.
To the sick, anti-American, half-assed Marxist and racial black extremists/Hispanic irredentists, all their sacrifices for “American nationalism” were wrong.
Go to Europe, No. Africa, India, Burma, China, Vietnam/Laos & Cambodia, as well as So. Korea, the Philippines, New Guinea, Melanesia, old Cuba, etc., “American nationalism” is celebrated every where because without it, there would have been no “freedom” for them.
Now we know who our internal enemies are. Time to counterattack with pride, knowledge, and a vocal presence.
