Joe isn't the right guy, but a senior law enforcement or military man must be selected.
Sheriff Joe would still be in office, too, if he'd won his last election.
Would have been nice to see him step aside and promote a younger, worthy successor to run against the lib, but no, he thought he owned the office for life, just like DC politicians do.
Worse yet, he stupidly threw his hat in the ring in the recent Senate primary, splitting the conservative vote with Kelli Ward, thereby throwing the win to Martha McSally.
Joe was an excellent sheriff, but his career in public service is over.
