If a private group wishes to share food with people who choose to enjoy it, I think the sole requirement should be to post a sign ‘Food served here is not from inspected kitchens and may be dangerous. Public is warned that they are eating at their own risk’ - Let people make the choice.

Scant chance of food poisoning is not enough to trump people’s freedom to feed others, and I refuse to see governmental nannies over-hand wringing over such a minor concern.

Oh, I agree. Post a sign: UNINSPECTED FOOD.

I'd be happy if that stopped the nanny-state lawyers from swooping in.

But I'd be surprised.
