People accuse the stupid voters but they neglect to point out that the Lamestream media has a bigger role in this than the voter. The lamestream media carried negative news reports on McSally and more positive reports on Sinema. They also suppressed more of the shenanigans Sinema had done and buried a lot of McSally’s achievements. I blame the media more than I do the voter, but I do blame them both.

No. Perhaps McSally will replace Kyl when he steps down. But the seat is up for election in 2020. Watch for Grag Stanton, former mayor of Phoenix and another hard core Dem, to establish his ‘moderate’ credentials in Sinema’s old House seat and then run for the open Senate seat. People need to wake up and realize the Dems play the long game. Sinema’s ‘win’ (count me as one who absolutely believes that the illegal vote gave her this ‘win’) was hatched when the Dems controlling the ‘Independent Redistricting Committee’ gerrymandered the House seat as a guaranteed Dem win. Sinema, of course, did win the House seat in 2012 and has voted ‘moderately, around 60% reaching across the aisle’ to establish her as a viable Senate candidate in AZ. NO Republican in AZ expects her to be ‘moderate’ now that she is in the Senate. Greg Stanton is next in line for a Senate seat, after he votes ‘moderately’ in the House.

McSally refused to say in 2016 who she would vote for. Has never denied voting for Hillary.

And McSally has the charisma of a dead fish. Dead fish are hard to sell.

McSally was McCain in a skirt.

McSally ran a DC based campaign instead of running inside Arizona.

Maybe McSally happily conceded because she already knows Governor Ducey is going to appoint her to Juan McStain’s seat when Kyl retires at the end of 2018. I don’t see Kyl staying on. He retired in the first place in 2012 because he was tired of the extreme nastiness going on in D.C. My husband and I actually had a long conversation with him about this, we were at a black tie event in Scottsdale and had an opportunity to talk to him and his wife.

That flaming @ssh*le Grant Woods (former AG, disgusting RINO who was BFF’s with McStain) just quit the GOP and joined the Rats; I doubt very much Ducey would appoint this loathsome POS now that he’s officially a Rat. As a RINO, he endorsed both Kankles and Skank Sinema.

Ducey is a Republican, and he owes his re-election to Republican voters; he knows he must appoint another Republican to the seat or he will be tarred, feathered, and ridden out of town on a rail.

McSally got hit by the perfect storm of electoral politics

1) Huge animosity from Kelli Ward supporters

2) Mormons have a huge impact on Arizona politics. Women's place is not the US Senate in Mormons worldview and Flake's and Romney's 2020 presidential ambitions were destroyed by Trump. Mormons really seem to dislike Trump under the best of circumstances and McSally was seen as a Trump supporter and paid the price.

3) McSally was viewed as a McCain protegee and House RINO and let's face it, the House Republicans really screwed the pooch the last two years and most deserved to be thrown out of office. Rightfully of wrongfully, a lot of Arizona Republicans just could not grok promoting a person who they viewed as a House RINO to Senate.

4) Sinema was lavishly funded and the press covered up for her even more than they did for Obama

5) Vote fraud

6) Lots of women did not like McSally for a whole host of reasons

7) Voter fraud and illegals voting, especially in mail in ballots

8) McSally ran a poor campaign 9) Both members of the House of Representatives and Arizona Republicans need to spend a few years wandering in the political wilderness to get their heads straight. You would think 8 years of Obama would have been enough wilderness wandering , but apparently old resentments die hard so that is not the case

There is only one major reason for a GOOD candidate losing and that is the crooked leftists running rampant among the illegals and racking up votes from them. The voter laws are ridiculous in EVERY state and it is well past time for the states to address it. This “right” of everyone-everyone?-to vote is nonsense and it is time to DO something about it.

This - more than any other reason. It is evident from the vote counts that many Republicans voted straight (R) except for Sinema. The only way this would have happened is if the group Sinema’s financial backers were targeting - moderate, suburban, nominally Republican women - bought into Sinema’s messaging and did not like McSally’s.

They get their information from local TV and newspapers. The facts about Sinema’s hard Left past never reached their ears, or came too late in McSally’s ads and sounded like desperation and “meanness.”

This is a GOP failure to identify and back the right candidates, and in the case of this year’s primary, the answer was “None of the Above.”
