Wouldnt she have to be in attendance at cases in order to participate in decision? In other words, Ginsbergs assistants and handlers are now your Supreme Court Justice and doing all her work while she lay ill and they try to preserve her life for two years. - z3n
Im pretty certain that she has to hear the case in order to participate in the disposition of it. She doesnt have to resign just because she doesnt appear - but if she or her clerks tried to file an opinion without hearing the case, it would IMHO be a scandal even the MSM couldnt suppress.
IIRC, the court started before Kavanaugh was seated and there was discussion if he would be able to give an opinions on cases he didn’t participate in.
