The vanities have gotten completely out of control. I refer to them now as "the bonfire of the vanities." Everybody who could simply post his view to a thread now feels that his view is worthy of a entirely separate thread.

People are either moaning that "America died today," or they feel free to tell everyone else how to do their jobs.

We need those vanity taxes to put this FReepathon to bed.

Regrettably, you're right. Vanities are way out of control, and you're dead bang right about their idiotic content! I'm so fed up with vanities, I don't bother to read them. When I'm here, I usually check to see whether anyone's written "anotherstupidvanity" and most often somebody has, which always makes me smile. You'd think the vanity posters would get the message, but NO, they're too damn VAIN!

I always notice that Gunner still gets the bad rap for taking issue with the excerpting bloggers and the vanities, which are actually one in the same. Of course, the membership most often jumps on Gunner for taking on the excerpting bloggers, never realizing that they're using FR to advertise/promote their enterprise free of charge - the same FR that WE SUPPORT! Go figure! Those FReepers are much like the "open boarders" crowd.
