“Everybody’s got to be covered” and “the government’s gonna pay for it” Donald Trump, 60 Minutes, September 2015.

First Democrats steal your Medicare money while giving you a lump of coal, all for bribing foreigners with Senior’s money.

Next Democrats steal Senior’s Social Security.

I used to believe that we can’t afford to cover people’s health care. But then I watched for 15 years as my GOP party in Congress supportred endless warfare and “nation building” in Middle East without ever complainin about, or even mentioning, the cost. So I stopped believing that “fiscal conservatism” had any credibility. If we can spend trillions in Iraq, we damn well ought to be able to cover the health costs of people in this country

I’m a lifelong Republican. But the party’s protest that “we can’t afford it” rings hollow when they’re quite willing to spend trillions on forever wars in the Middle East

#19. She’s a Michelle Obama “Man” Baby!

Oh, the National Nurses United union has had strong ties to the old Communist Party USA (Carl Bloice and David Bacon)and its labor front, District 1199 (now united with the CP-dominated Distributive Workers District 65 union) and known roughly as the Hospital Workers and Healthcare Givers union.

This congresswoman is a red as her dress and just as crazy as her buddy MarxIne Waters.

For the democrats, it’s endless social programs, with cost no object. For the Republicans, it’s endless Middle East wars and nation building, cost no object. For us taxpayers, we pay either way.

Exactly.......they’ve set the stage to stop any form of criticism. ....on a one way street.

><><

Exactly. Political Correctness was designed to control the narrative. Couple that with white guilt and other things and it’s a situation where nothing can be honestly discussed and problems are never resolved or solved.

Born in India. Even the legal immigration is harming our culture. We need to shut almost all of it down for a while.

I agree.

There would be some compromises and prioritization of care at the margins but it isn’t as though all the MRIs and PET scanners and dialysis clinics and brain surgeons and physical therapists are going to suddenly disappear.

I guess I am fortunate that most, not all, practitioners and clinics and hospitals accept Medicare in this area and quality of care has been excellent, same as for everyone else.

Just about all hospitals would soon be bankrupt and many nursing jobs would be eliminated. Why? Because Medicare and Medicaid pay hospitals below their costs and so they make up the shortfall by hospitals charging a very large markup to private insurers to subsidize the shortfall. If all private insurance went away and coverage switched to Medicare, hospitals would quickly be in a big loss position and in default on their outstanding bond indentures.

Liberals/Socialists are such absolute fools! Massive layoffs and service cutbacks would quickly follow.

......” it’s a situation where nothing can be honestly discussed and problems are never resolved or solved”....

Exactly....and to do so would require “thinking” for oneself. With all this ‘collective’ indoctrination going on with Political Correctness if you are seen as an independent thinker they have the perfect buzz word to try and shoot you down.

I had this happen today....young people trying to ‘sell’ me on their ideology. Only one of them could present their case ...the others just went with the flow of the group think. It was interesting but at one point I said to the other three after they had their say....calling them out...I said..

“The one thing I have over the rest of you is the wisdom of the ages which you do not have yet....after years of being sold a bill of goods I know what ‘the sale’ is and the players tactics to sell it..... Then I called them each out for their style and delivery from one to the other. Not only shooting holes in their statements easily....but in what form of delivery they were using to beef up their own self worth and why they needed to do that.

It was fun to see the three uncomfortably agreeing....while the one ‘thinker’ of the group not only understood but commented well as we continued our discussion.

Because Medicare and Medicaid pay hospitals below their costs

It is clear reimbursements would have to be increased in the case of a Medicare-like single payer. You are suggesting they are fixed for all time. But I personally know that Medicare reimbursements are not currently "below cost" in very many cases. Medicaid reimbursement for office visits often are, especially in cases in which no procedure was billed.

They are only interested in their desire to “want”....it's not if or not something is true or not. They are addicted to an appetite of wanting more....when more is simply more....therefore they are never nor do they know satisfaction.

The adolescent 28 year old activist who just won in her district is a perfect example of this.....she just won her seat at the table and has no clue what it really means as she's out their still protesting before she even takes it.

She has no idea of the depths of power within the halls of Washington.....the Dems will be babysitting her for years if she even lasts long enough..

That’s great. Thanks for sharing.

Other big problems are the inability to discern and think critically. But those go hand in hand with the experience you just told me about.

It’s such a convoluted, intertwined mess that the Left has put us in. All the have done, be it large or small adds up and it’s very scary and sickening.
