“Thanksgiving day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of Native people, the theft of Native lands, and the relentless assault on Native culture.”

And all these years I thought THANKSgiving was a day to be THANKFUL to God for what we have.

Thanksgiving was always meant as a day to give thanks to God for what we have,but that doesn’t seem to do it for some,so they make it into a day that more closely adheres to their ideal as to what they they think it SHOULD be about. THAT usually differs radically from what it was meant to be.
