A Glimpse Into a World Without Men

Ah, to have an all-female workplace, full of sugar and spice and everything nice and absent #MeToo turpitude and transgressions. Are you in, ladies? Well, before signing on that dotted line, you may want to consider the experiences of the sugar-and-spice girls at Sweden’s new Gender Equality Authority.

Yes, that sounds like what’s birthed when Orwell’s 1984 meets The Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (Bill Maher’s most memorable movie), but it wasn’t mainly men being consumed in this bureaucracy. As Sweden’s FriaTider reports (auto-translated and corrected for grammar):

The New Gender Equality Authority has a leadership consisting of 100 percent women. Ten months after its inception, an internal report now reveals a work environment so bad that 70 percent of its employees are distressed enough to be at risk of ill health, reports Ekot.

The internal survey, Ekot also noted, shows in addition that a majority of the employees of the Gender Equality Authority suffer from sleep problems and “risk fatigue”.

Among other things, the women-dominated workplace is characterized by bullying and harassment, according to the survey.

I think it’s unfair to judge the ability and productivity of women based on some half-assed social experiment in Sweden. My wife has worked in all-female environments that she loved, like schools and consignment shops and some she hated. When she hated places, it was because of female interpersonal dynamics, admittedly.

Let’s start by them totally replacing men doing:

Garbage pickup and landfill jobs.
155kv powerline jobs.
Oil rig jobs.
Road construction jobs.
Building construction jobs.

After successfully doing just those, at profit for the compamy, call me.

Golda at least loved her country. The last non-suicidal left-wing Israeli leader who had the Mohammadans pegged.

When I found out my wife was pregnant, I told my then boss I’d be taking a week off in April with no notice.

The bonehead actually said “As long as no one else is off that week”

I look at him with contempt and told him it wasn’t an option.

It’s funny as hell, and matches up with my wife’s work experience in major southern hospital system.
Women are nasty to each other - much worse than men. Backstabbing and poisonous gossip are the preferred weapons.

Human behavior reflects evolutionary history and selection, even if the radical feminists don’t like it. Drop a bunch of men into the wilds and they’ll rapidly organize into a group with a leader and assigned roles. Drop a bunch of women into the wilds and a cat fight will break out.

Just in life, I find groups of women only to be more unpleasant than groups of Men only. I find groups that are mixed to be the most fun.

One on one, I don’t prefer. I’ve had bitchy women bosses but I’ve had the ugly behaved male boss who hits on you - there is rarely a perfect boss scenario. I try to be a good boss but I’m not very organized and A little too nice, so it’s a problem. I hate being a boss.

I do not like female bosses, for some reason I have trouble communicating with them.

i've only had one female boss, but she was a dyke, and we actually got along quite well

Women are bitches when they don’t have men around to call them on their behavior.

It’s true.

“The female clerical staff can gang up and bully another woman they just don’t like.”

An online acquaintance of mine had just this experience. She worked at a finance company after college and the other women hated her because she is, frankly, gorgeous. Lots of schemes and nasty things ensued.

And then Darja married the CEO.

Staff changes followed.

FTA: While men have their characteristic sins (lust, for example), a female one is vindictiveness. I suspect this is partially, though not completely, because women are very emotion-oriented, are easily hurt and, most significantly, are emotion-retentive. Thus, a real or imagined slight cuts deeply and doesn’t just remain in a woman’s mind, but in her heart. It’s harder to forgive when negative feelings linger — demanding retribution.

"...boys instinctively reference principles, the objective; fairness is a principle. The girls, of course, are referencing feelings, the subjective.” The point? “Fair fighting” or conflict resolution in the workplace or anywhere else requires adherence to principles; emotion won’t secure it

I have often thought that the reason God said that men should be the leaders of homes and of churches is that men are more apt to stick to principles. A baseline or standard of acceptable behavior has to be established first. Once a baseline has been established, then wives can inform the men of special circumstances that may necessitate a bending of the rules in a particular case. But the standard of principles must be in place first.

The best thing ever was a Bear Grylls survival show where he left something like 30 women on a deserted island for 30 days. It’s on YouTube. They tried to survive with no leader. They were washing their hair in the drinking water. One group went to search the island and got lost for 4 days. Every time they tried to find the base camp they ended back where they started. It was hilarious.

And they make fun of us for not asking for directions.

Ah, to have an all-female workplace,

Sounds like hell's reception room.

My personal observation is that men need women around and women need men around to maintain civilized behavior.

For some reason, lacking the influence of the opposite sex we revert to second grade playground behavior socially.

Not sure what that says about us as a species.

My dad was in telecom... he warned me about this 20 years ago. The only thing worse than being a man with a power-hungry woman as a boss is being a woman with the same boss.

The bonehead actually said “As long as no one else is off that week”

When Mrs WBill was pregnant, my boss wanted to send me to the other side of the country on her due date. It was the 30th, for a point of reference.

I told him "No." He said, "But the work needs to get done."

I told him that I wasn't leaving my pregnant wife on the date that she was going to have a baby. End of Discussion.

He replied...."Weelllllll..... we can work with you on this. What if - let's just say, I don't know if I can get it approved, but let's just say for argument's sake - that I do you an enormous favor and instead of sending you on the 30th, you go on the 29th. Or - or!!!- maybe even the 28th. Of course, you'll owe me one later, but we can work that out. How about that?"

Idiot. He and "his partner", if you get my meaning, didn't ever need to worry about having kids so he had zero comprehension of the situation. Thankfully, I found a new job and quit. Coincidentally, my final day was the 30th. :-)

The guy I worked for probably had a change of heart. Just before I left my employment there, his wife had a late term miscarriage. It was very sad but I hope to served to humanize him a little bit.
