During CW2, will mortgage and car payments be eliminated? What happens to social security? Sorry if these are stupid questions.

They're not stupid questions.

There would be all kinds of disruptions to the normal order of business, should a civil war break out. Some things would still work, while many would not.

I don't know that anyone can predict with accuracy, which things would work, and which would break, in that scenario. I doubt if you'd lose your house to foreclosure, but a local bank just might want to repo your car for non-payment. The federal government might well be the first thing to break during a civil war.

Frankly, if such a war were to start, I think it would be over very quickly. The takers will fold rapidly if the makers come for blood.

The Finnish Civil War (early 1918) lasted not-quite four months.

And killed more than 1% of the population of the entire country.
