By my count, they’ve confirmed 30 Circuit Court judges so far. That is slightly more than half way toward countering the 55 Circuit Court judges that were appointed by Obama.

There are currently 11 Circuit Court vacancies. No telling how many more will open up in the next two years but I anticipate that by the end of his first term, President Trump will have had at least 45 or so Circuit Court judges confirmed. That goes a long long way toward repairing the damage Obama did.

If President Trump had the chance to replace any of the Gang of Four on the SCOTUS in the next couple years, that would be huge. Even appointing a good strict constructionist for Justice Thomas would be extremely useful. If that were to happen, all the younger Justices would be Strict Constructionists while all the oldsters would be Leftists. We really need to get to 7-2 or better to secure our constitutional rights.

Remember, if any SCOTUS Justice retires of dies in 2020, the Senate will not consider a replacement until after the 2020 Election.

It happens in 2019 or the next POTUS picks a replacement.

Even Lindsey Graham has committed to that.
