Makes me wonder how many damned RINO’s there are left. They apparently like how Ryan ran the House, and voted his clone into that seat.
Bush League Republicans will continue to obstruct the enforcement of laws and borders as they have been doing for 30 years.
Meet the new boss.......
The Stupid Party strikes again.
I think Rep Jim Jordan would have been a better choice.

I agree. Jim Jordan would be a much better leader. He’s not a RINO like McCarthy. Didn’t McCarthy have some baggage which required him to withdraw in running for Speaker?

Grrrr!
Me too really like Jim but hes a team player no ones fool and tuff, aka tough
Huge sigh of relief from House RINO caucus as they will not have to “demonstrate leadership” for the next two years.
SOSDD
FAR BETTER!
McCarthy was neither conservative, nor supportive of Trump until he sensed serious challenges to his reelection, at which point he came out with his "Build the Wall" rhetoric. I suspect that will fall by the wayside in a hurry.
This guy is a big disaster .
He sold out the CA Gop and signed off on that awful CA redictricting because he saved his seat .
He is owned by the COC and Silicon Valley .
He is the enemy.
Nsybe worse than Ryan.
About 40 - 50 more house seats now scheduled to be lost to the marxists in 2020...
Selected Speaker McCarthy
Bye Bye Wall. Hello Amnesty.
Dumb ass repubs never learn never never never...oh yea he came up with the big big big commercial “To vote for the wall” AFTER the GD election. WHY THE HELL NOT BEFORE WHEN YOU HAD THE HOUSE FOR TWO YEARS - DUMB ASSES!!!!
So, guess it will be the same-o same-o getting nothing conservative done. When you lose like we did in the mid-terms, you need leadership change and apparently the 159 RHINOs who voted for McCarthy are too stupid to understand that.
Trump needs to start his own party.
The GOPe big club know how to control political outcomes. During internal party elections today current republican Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who failed to keep a republican majority, was approved by a vote of 159-43 to become the new 2019 minority leader. It is likely McCarthy will be successful in retaining the GOPe minority.
California Republican Kevin McCarthy was challenged by Ohio Republican Jim Jordan, but overwhelmingly McCarthy was seen by House republicans as the more moderate, less controversial, representative. The House is now positioned to play the preferred role of loyal opposition when the flags change color amid the spire of the UniParty House.
There’s an irony in McCarthy elevating to the Minority Leadership role within the same election cycle that sees Dave Brat defeated in Virginia and Paul Ryan retiring from congress. Brat defeated Eric Cantor, the former GOPe Majority Leader; stunning the GOPe leadership (Boehner, Ryan, Cantor and McCarthy) and derailing Wall Street’s 2014 open-border GOPe immigration agenda. [Cantor-primaried ’14; Boehner-retired ’16; Ryan-retired ’18; and now the lone McCarthy takes control.]
Biggest Winners: Tom Donohue, Rupert Murdoch and the Koch Brothers.
