Georgia’s tight races for governor and Congress remained unsettled Tuesday as last-minute votes trickled in, protests rocked the Capitol and judges issued rulings to ensure more ballots are counted.
After a day filled with post-election drama, final vote counts are still at least two days away and Democrat Stacey Abrams needs to gain more than 17,000 votes to force a runoff in the race for governor against Republican Brian Kemp.
Meanwhile, the contest for the 7th Congressional District was closer than ever, with Democrat Carolyn Bourdeaux trailing Republican U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall by about 500 votes. That margin could narrow further because hundreds of votes from Gwinnett County are still pending.
The federal courts are the wild cards in both races.
Several ongoing court cases leave open the possibility that previously rejected absentee and provisional ballots could still be tallied, even after Tuesday’s deadline for counties to certify their election results.

What is the purpose of accepting provisional ballots other than to enable fraud?!

Committing fraud on a large scale is complicated. That is why multiple sources of fraudulent votes is necessary. First, fraudulent registrations for helpful - not removing dead people, people who moved, allowing people who aren’t citizens or already registered elsewhere is useful. Then, bus in people to vote those registrations. After the polls close, then the “officials” can vote the remaining fake people themselves. Short of that, it is also useful to have walk-ins file provisional votes, kind of an insurance policy.
Voter ID is just one little piece to restoring faith in our elections, it is not the solution.

It’s going to be difficult to secure elections no matter what. The left would rather cheat than lose an election, and many of these races are close enough that they don’t have to manufacture that many ballots. I think the only way to do that is bipartisan oversight in every polling precinct - something that I thought every state required but either I was naive or they have fake Republicans in cahoots.
There are just so many avenues for fraud. Eliminating early and absentee voting for everyone but military and government officials posted overseas seems like it would cut down many of the cheating opportunities by shortening the time window, but the left will sign on for that like an inmate digging an escape tunnel will volunteer for transfer to supermax.
In the largest democracy on earth, it is very difficult to commit vote fraud, because the government has printed 780 Million voter ID cards WITH PHOTO, available to any citizen who wishes to vote. Voter ID cards make it imperative voters must vote in person on election day. No mail in ballots, no absentee ballots, no provisional ballots. If a voter is serious about voting, plan vacation accordingly.

In this modern digital day and era, there is absolutely NO REASON for this to be going on....NONE. Good grief, the election was over a week ago. These SOBs need to be shut down....permanently.

This is just a joke now. It has been 8 days already and the twisted judges are saying that the democrats must be given more time to manufacture votes. It should be called to a halt right now. The FBI and the Department of Justice should look into the vote counters and scrutinize the late ballots they are including. There should be jail time if fraud is found.
Kemp will end up losing this once all the counting and recounting is done.
Such utter crap. Where is the GOP?? Judges are not meant to write election law.
SCOTUS needs to get the judiciary BACK IN ITS LANE.
