McConnell rejects Mueller protection bill
Washington Times ^ | Nov. 14, 2018 | Stephen Dinan

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell flatly rejected the need to approve legislation protecting the special counsel’s probe into the 2016 election, saying Wednesday there’s no evidence the investigation needs protection.

Mr. McConnell laid out Republicans’ goals for the lame-duck session of Congress, saying preventing a government shutdown is tops on the list, along with passing new rules to stop sexual harassment on Capitol Hill and approving a farm bill.

He flatly ruled out the chance of a partial government shutdown over border wall money and other spending fights.

McConnell isn’t going to put up with any ‘Tom Foolery’ unless it’s his ‘Tom Foolery’.

As for ‘Tom Flakery’, stay tuned.

He's back.

Washington Times
Sen. Jeff Flake announced Wednesday that he will not vote to advance any new judicial nominees through the Judiciary Committee, nor will he vote to confirm picks on the Senate floor, until he gets his way on unrelated legislation to prevent the firing of special counsel Robert Mueller.

Flake has become Mr. Irrelevant. The Republicans don’t need his vote to confirm judges during the lame duck session.

At least with Sinema, AZ will know she’s going to be voting no.

The Mueller investigation is not an INVESTIGATION. It is a political ploy to aid the Democratic Crime syndicate in elections. That is why it has lasted so long. Mueller colluding with Demonrats to destroy the USA.

You are kidding yourself. Nothing will get done that helps our cause. Notice that the caravan is jumping our border and Trump remains silent.

Sadly you are correct and despite Trump’s bragging the truth is not one inch of new wall has gone up. Every dime has gone to existing wall he has not gone around the no new wall rule that POS Ryan put in the CR.

I cringe every time he says that because he knows he is lying.
