YUMA, AZ (Border Patrol) - Border Patrol agents assigned to Yuma Station apprehended over 400 [now 650] illegal aliens who surrendered..., including two huge groups of Central American nationals... Just before midnight, a Border Patrol camera operator observed ... illegal aliens illegally crossing into the United States by traversing over the legacy landing mat border wall east of the San Luis Port of Entry.
A majority of the illegal aliens were family units from Guatemala ... The illegal alien ... was observed digging a shallow hole underneath the same older portion of wall to gain access into the United States...
This old portion of wall lacks the improved concrete footer that new wall prototypes have which prevents easy digging underneath....Yuma Sector continues to see increasing numbers of aliens crossing illegally into its area of responsibility from countries other than Mexico where they are able to exploit the outdated infrastructure.
Federal law allows agents to charge individuals by complaint, a method that allows the filing of criminal activity charges without inferring guilt. An individual is presumed innocent unless and until competent evidence is presented to a jury that establishes guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials welcome assistance from the community.
Individuals can report suspicious activity to the Border Patrol and remain anonymous by calling 1-877-872-7435 toll free. Reporting illicit activity could result in saving someones life.
Apparently it is easy to slip into Arizona. just duck under the fence.
I’m disappointed PDJT hasn’t posted anything Twitter yesterday on this or today, yet. No news conference, either. Hopefully he will today.
25% of El Salvadorans live in the USA
20% of Mexicans live in the USA
A very small town is maybe 2,000 people
EVERY NIGHT the equivalent of a small Mexican town picks up and crosses into the USA. To live. Permanently.
At the end of a month, every month, 30 small Mexican towns have moved into the USA.
Month after month, year after year.
And almost all of them go to California. Not sure what the implications are but I am certain there are some.
Deportation cost per head $11,000... or even $12,000 in 2018
During fiscal 2016, ICE spent $3.2 billion to identify, arrest, detain and remove undocumented immigrants, according to the DHS. ICE handled some 240,000 of the roughly 450,000 total deportations that took place last year. (Customs and Border Patrol was responsible for the rest. It also arrests and deports undocumented immigrants, but mainly as they try to enter the U.S.)
Each deportation conducted by ICE cost taxpayers an average of $10,854 in fiscal 2016. This amount includes everything from housing and feeding a detainee to transporting him back to his home country.
So that 650 X 11k = $715,000.... So about every 900 aliens cost us 1 million dollars. Assuming they are all deportable.
Do you have a source for these statistics?
I’d like to be able to use them in debate.
Thanks for the details.
Maybe he thinks it is best to just let the border patrol and the armed forces to take care of business quietly.
No need to rouse the usual opponents.
Meanwhile, the more typical, single, young, adult males continue slipping into CA unimpeded.
The entire orchestrated invasion from Central America is larger than many small American cities.
Agreed. We can go about our business and deport 90% ++ of them at a cost of 11k.
That is a huge bargain compared to absorbing them at processing cost of 70K the first year ...plus...plus...plus...plus.. school food..house ..medical...prison
Dont tell me apprehended, tell me sent home!
Wonderful news.
