I am quite surprised Rosenweasel hasn’t been fired yet.
More importantly, the Deputy AG post was never established by Congress in the first place. It was created in 1950 by an internal DOJ memorandum. As a result, it is very easy to simply push the guy into the background by changing his job description or even issuing an executive order to make the Deputy AG post vanish.
I was too, it sounded like he’d be gone a few days after Sessions resigned.
