Posted on 11/15/2018 1:46:57 PM PST by Kaslin
This race is over. Even while Broward and Palm Beach Counties continue with their mandatory recount, incumbent Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson is still trailing Republican Gov. Rick Scott by 12,000 votes. Barring a miracle, or massive voter fraud, theres no way hes going to win. Even CNN admits this:
Democrats hope a manual recount will overturn the results of Florida's Senate election and pave the wave for Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson to keep his Senate seat.
Appearing on Capitol Hill Wednesday, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer projected confidence about Nelson's chances.
"Bill Nelson is -- is strong as could be," Schumer said. "He believes, I believe, he's won a majority of the votes, and as long as they're counted, he will continue being senator from Florida."
History says this is very unlikely and Republican Gov. Rick Scott will maintain his lead over Nelson. Indeed, there doesn't seem to be a precedent for the type of change Nelson needs to overtake Scott.
Scott holds a little more than a 12,000 vote lead over Nelson. That amounts to an advantage of about 0.15 percentage points, which is well within the 0.25 point margin needed for a manual recount required by Florida law. This margin may seem small, but for recount purposes, it is actually quite large.
In terms of pure votes, it doesn't look any better for Nelson. The average recount from 2000 to 2015 shifted the result by 282 votes. You don't need to be a math wizard to know that 282 is considerably less than 12,000. The maximum change in the margin in any recount from 2000 to 2015 was 1,247 votes. That is far less than the change in the margin Nelson needs to overtake Scott.
The post closes with saying that the next senator from the Sunshine State is going to be a Republican.
Floridas elections were once again marred by ballot-counting operations that were shoddy, to say the least. No, not shoddy; they were actually in violation of state law. Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher, the elections supervisors for Broward and Palm Beach respectively, werent giving updates on outstanding ballot tallies, as required by lawand their practices were found to violate public records laws by a judge. They were order to comply with all records requests last week, which they decided to ignore. This action was brought on by a lawsuit filed by Scott, who rightfully was curious about the lack of transparency with the ballot-counting process; he had already declared victory over Nelson as well.

With over two-thirds of the machine recount completed, our margin of victory has grown. Its time for @SenBillNelson to end this recount. Rick Scott (@ScottforFlorida) November 15, 2018
Its not unwarranted. These counties are the problem children in state elections. In past elections, Snipes illegally destroyed congressional ballots in 2016 during the Democratic primary in Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultzs race, she forgot to put amendments on the ballot, and her office posted elections results before the polls have closed. In 2018, the incompetence continues, while in Palm Beach, Scotts campaign alleges that their representatives were barred from supervising the replacement ballot process, as required by law. Election officials can fill out a replacement ballot if machines can't read one. In essence, these officials are creating a new ballots, hence the need for witnesses. Its a situation thats ripe for fraud. Not saying thats what happened, but the fact that Scott campaign officials were allegedly barred is fishy. Yet, it appears this race is about to be called soon. 3 P.M. today is the deadline for the recount to be completed. adsdafsdf
13/ @FLGovScott lawsuit against Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher - supported by a verified complaint (i.e., sworn under penalty of perjury) - provides evidence of far more serious wrongdoing. https://t.co/JTfRAdZlOj michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
14/ State law provides that, if a paper ballot is physically damaged in a way that prevents it from being read by an automated tabulation machine, election officials may make a replacement ballot to be run through the machine instead. michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
15/ That is an *extremely serious power.* To prevent people from being disenfranchised (potentially due to ballot handling beyond their control), state law lets election officials create replacement ballots to be automatically tabulated instead of the original vote. michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
16/ In other words, election officials, quite literally, create new ballots to be counted. Obviously, the law requires them to fill out the replacement ballots the same way, for the same candidates, as the original damaged ballots they're replacing. michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
17/ The process creates a real, immediate opportunity for fraud that could change an election's results. If a damaged ballot were cast for @FLGovScott, for example, a hyper-partisan or corrupt official could be tempted to fill out a replacement ballot for Sen Nelson, or vice versa michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
18/ State law *recognizes* that the literal creation of new ballots to be counted is one of the most sensitive and vulnerable steps in the process. That's why it requires the creation of replacement ballots must occur "in the presence of witnesses." Fla. Stat. 101.5614(4)(a) michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
19/ @FlGovScott lawsuit provides sworn evidence that the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections prohibited his campaign's reps from monitoring the creation of replacement ballots. Election officials are filling out new ballots, but the candidate's reps apparently couldn't see michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
20/ Secrecy and apparent violations of state law are inexcusable when millions of people's fundamental right to vote at stake. The entire process must be completely transparent. /END michaelmorley11 (@michaelmorley11) November 9, 2018
It’s after 3pm. Deadline passed.
Can’t Brenda the Democrat Sniper Dr.-up a few more votes?
Has anyone checked Florida’s DNC HQ? There have to be 500,000 right there alone.
“barring a miracle”
More like a disaster.
Oh well, the important thing is ‘conservatives’ sat on their hands and let them get away with the whole farce. This was just a dry run for 2020 anyway.
Democrats hope a manual recount will overturn the results of Florida’s Senate election and pave the wave for Democratic Sen. Bill Nelson to keep his Senate seat.
Boy, if Scott pulls this off, I hope the drama and angst of the last week has taught him a strong lesson. Maybe he’ll be the one to take on the project of cleaning up the election process which caused him personal misery. It was the drama and angst of the process, PLUS the sure knowledge that his own ineptness was at least 50% responsible for the mess. Maybe sheer guilt will motivate him to do something.
The ‘miracle’ is HE WON!...................
It’s a very good silver lining on the election if so. We’d have 53 votes in the Senate which means Collins, Murky Cow and Rominee can be ignored in all confirmation votes. Unless a fourth moderate surfaces Trump can safely go for hard right nominees.
Hopefully, Rick Scott can hold on because of all the wins, getting rid of a career Dem in a purple state may be the republican’s one bright spot.
How does that scatterbrained election woman in Florida still have a job?
She can’t administer her job properly, and there were legal violations on her watch in previous elections. How does someone so clearly incompetent keep their job?
Unless Broward county is obliterated, there is no end to the potential fraud there
The black control is devistating and caused the murders of 17 in school
A Democrat is about to lose an election! Quick, someone, find a judge!
Three Fla. Counties need to be placed under Federal Supervision for all of their voting operations, including voter registration.
A few weeks ago, Dr. Jack Minzeysent what was to be the final chapter in the long line of books and treatises which he had written. Jack went to be with the Lord, 8 April 2018. He was 89.
Professionally, Jack was head of the Department of Education at Eastern Michigan University as well as a prolific author of numerous books, most of which were on the topic of Education and the Government role therein.
This is the last of his works:
How do civil wars happen? Two or more sides disagree on who runs the country. And they can’t settle the question through elections because they don’t even agree that elections are how you decide who’s in charge. That’s the basic issue here. Who decides who runs the country?
When you hate each other but accept the election results, you have a country. When you stop accepting election results, you have a countdown to a civil war.
The Mueller investigation is about removing President Trump from office and overturning the results of an election. We all know that. But it’s not the first time they’ve done this. The first time a Republican president was elected this century, they said he didn’t really win. The Supreme Court gave him the election. There’s a pattern here.
What do sure odds of the Democrats rejecting the next Republican president really mean? It means they don’t accept the results of any election that they don’t win. It means they don’t believe that transfers of power in this country are determined by elections. That’s a civil war.
There’s no shooting. At least not unless you count the attempt to kill a bunch of Republicans at a charity baseball game practice. But the Democrats have rejected our system of government.
This isn’t dissent. It’s not disagreement. You can hate the other party. You can think they’re the worst thing that ever happened to the country. But then you work harder to win the next election. When you consistently reject the results of elections that you don’t win, what you want is a dictatorship. Your very own dictatorship.
The only legitimate exercise of power in this country, according to Democrats, is its own. Whenever Republicans exercise power, it’s inherently illegitimate. The Democrats lost Congress. They lost the White House. So what did they do? They began trying to run the country through Federal judges and bureaucrats. Every time that a Federal judge issues an order saying that the President of the United States can’t scratch his own back without his say so, that’s the civil war.
Our system of government is based on the constitution, but that’s not the system that runs this country. The Democrat’s system is that any part of government that it runs gets total and unlimited power over the country. If the Democrats are in the White House, then the president can do anything. And I mean anything. He can have his own amnesty for illegal aliens. He can fine you for not having health insurance. His power is unlimited. He’s a dictator.
But when Republicans get into the White House, suddenly the President can’t do anything. He isn’t even allowed to undo the illegal alien amnesty that his predecessor illegally invented. A Democrat in the White House has ‘discretion’ to completely decide every aspect of immigration policy. A Republican doesn’t even have the ‘discretion’ to reverse him. That’s how the game is played That’s how our country is run. Sad but true, although the left hasn’t yet won that particular fight.
When a Democrat is in the White House, states aren’t even allowed to enforce immigration law. But when a Republican is in the White House, states can create their own immigration laws. Under Obama, a state wasn’t allowed to go to the bathroom without asking permission. But under Trump, Jerry Brown can go around saying that California is an independent republic and sign treaties with other countries. The Constitution has something to say about that.
Whether it’s Federal or State, Executive, Legislative or Judiciary, the left moves power around to run the country. If it controls an institution, then that institution is suddenly the supreme power in the land. This is what I call a moving dictatorship.
Donald Trump has caused the Shadow Government to come out of hiding: Professional government is a guild. Like medieval guilds. You can’t serve in if you’re not a member. If you haven’t been indoctrinated into its arcane rituals. If you aren’t in the club. And Trump isn’t in the club. He brought in a bunch of people who aren’t in the club with him.
Now we’re seeing what the pros do when amateurs try to walk in on them. They spy on them, they investigate them and they send them to jail. They use the tools of power to bring them down.
That’s not a free country.
It’s not a free country when FBI agents who support Hillary take out an ‘insurance policy’ against Trump winning the election. It’s not a free country when Obama officials engage in massive unmasking of the opposition. It’s not a free country when the media responds to the other guy winning by trying to ban the conservative media that supported him from social media. It’s not a free country when all of the above collude together to overturn
an election because the guy who wasn’t supposed to win did.
Have no doubt, we’re in a civil war between conservative volunteer government and a leftist Democrat professional government.
Unless Broward county is obliterated, there is no end to the potential fraud there. The black control is devistating and caused the murders of 17 in school.
Nothing is impossible. There might be no end to fraud there, but there has to be a way to greatly minimize it. And Scott, being from Florida, may have some inside info he can draw upon.
Scott Israel has to be one of the first to go, and I hope DeSantis will TCB in that regard — ASAP.
Good news. Hope it sticks.
Now what about DeSantis for guvvy?
And the Ag Commissioner race. They approve the CCW permits. Huge.
True.....and maybe Chuckie helped out....seeing as how he was "so sure" Nelson won.
Votes can’t be added during a recount unless they use fraudulent ballots to replace existing ones.
The number of manually counted ballots must equal the machine counted ones.
Well, we did rid of quite of few bad ones, I just wish we had gotten Tester!
