TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP) The embattled Broward County Elections Department completed the machine recount that could help determine the next senator and Governor in Florida, one of Americas top political battlegrounds.
However, those results were submitted two minutes past the 3 p.m. deadline and will not count.
Instead, the initial results submitted last Saturday will be considered the official numbers now.

Zactly! Dry run for 2020
This Florida election deserves a Razzie.
And here I thought that mullets led to Camaros which led directly to TROUBLE...
Follow the law!!! No rewarding incompetence and lawlessness!!!
Rick Scott is saying she did it intentionally because he would have picked up 779 votes.
IIRC, Florida just ordered a hand recount
;-)
Now a full blown investigation of the time peace used and its calibration to follow
piece
What I think this means:
They deliberately submitted late, knowing the last tranch of votes wouldn’t be counted.
The objective was to provide a reason for OUTRAGE, after they realized they still weren’t going to get their desired results, had they submitted them prior to the deadline.
You were first, beat me.
Yes, you had exactly the same thought I did.
They INTENTED to be late, the better to later build an “injustice..!!”-narrative.
I’m betting the Dems saw tabulations that Scott was gaining votes and waited until 2 minutes after to miss the deadline on purpose.
Yes, I’m serious.
for the senate and ag. commission races
PS - Also betting if the results were two minutes late and a Dem candidate was gaining votes, they would be suing to count them.
Hanging chads are now stray pen marks.
If there were 150,000 blank votes, how many are clearly non-votes? 120,000?
So how many ballots could be deciphered to have a mark? 15000 in Democrat counties ... And they break 6000 to 2000 for the Dems ... That is the worse case cheat
And you would be correct!
I've seen bad officiating in sports, but this takes the cake.
I believe that you are right.
